Poshmark Facebook Popup Store
We can now shop the Poshmark Facebook popup store inside Macy’s. Poshmark has partnered its seller community with Facebook to showcase select brands at Macy’s. Poshmark will be hosting in-store events where you can get to know fellow Poshmark sellers, stylists and do some shopping. This week I stopped in to The Market @ Macy’s to see how a partnership like this could work. Macy’s Herald Square is one of my favorite shopping destinations in NYC, but I hadn’t visited in a while. I am also active on Poshmark to sell my fashion items. Poshmark is also how I interact with other fashionistas. I entered The Market At Macy’s and…

7 Reasons Why I Hate Wedding Planning
It was the night of Valentine’s Day when my life was on the road to change. At my surprise, my fiancé got down on one knee in the middle of dinner and proposed to me. Texture On The Runway 2018, New York Fashion Week
Texture on the runway is one of my favorite New York Fashion Week events. A few years ago NaturallyCurly.com founder Michelle Breyer created Texture On The Runway to fill a void. Just like Michelle, during Fashion Week I would always be looking for representation of women that looked like me. Thanks to Texture on the Runway powered by Sally Beauty, mainstream media and the fashion industry have to pay attention to the undeniable beauty of textured hair. This year the Texture On The Runway theme had to be influenced by the current state of society’s unwillingness to have multiple leaders or “Queens” in certain categories. Especially in the beauty, music…

5 Ways To Stay Cool In The Kitchen Now
As I’m typing this post it’s taking everything in me not to go off like YouTuber KrissyChula in her famous “It’s Hot as Hell” video. Cooking in summer heat is the worst, but mainly because I don’t have air conditioning. I wish I could give up on being in my kitchen in the summer months, but adulting wont let me. Until then here are 5 ways to stay cool in the kitchen now. 1. Don’t Turn On The Oven. Baking is fun, but you may want to save that recipe for another day. If you have no choice, do it in the early morning/late night when it’s cooler. Bake multiple items at once and refrigerate…

BossBelle Apparel Review
I work out several times a week and recently decided to bring more of my love for fashion into my gym outfits. I’m always looking for the latest trends. BossBelle Apparel first caught my attention with the empowering messages on their clothing. A BossBelle Apparel review was in order once the brand reached out to me as a fitness & lifestyle influencer who isn’t afraid to give an honest opinion. BossBelle Apparel was founded in 2016 by two military Veterans and recently launched June 1, 2018. They have been working hard to bring quality fitness apparel to every woman no matter what her fitness goal is. They have also rolled…

Kate Spade, What She Taught Fashion (and me)
For anyone with even the smallest amount of fashion knowledge, the name Kate Spade should ring a bell. Kate Spade in her 55 years of life on this planet has taught fashion and me several things. In 1991 she left her Senior Fashion Editor/Head of Accessories role at (the now defunct) Mademoiselle Magazine. During her time there she noticed the market lacked fashion forward sensible handbags and decided to create her own. In her NYC apartment with construction paper and scotch tape, she made the prototypes of the handbags we came to know and love. Kate did what many of us can’t, which is to take a chance to bring…

Girltime! A Kate Spade Fashion Party
Recent events have Kate Spade on my mind. I fondly remember this one time I attended an event hosted by Evelyn of IndialynRose.com. I linked up with my friend and fellow blogger Joanna E of JoannaE.com at Kate Spade’s NY flagship store. Kate Spade’s fashions have always been one of my favorites. Kate Spade New York is an American fashion design house founded as a handbag company in January 1993, by the late designer Kate Spade. Through the years, the brand grew and began to sell items such as bedding, shoes and a full women’s clothing line. Kate Spade fashion is perfect for the woman who likes to be polished but…
