5 Winter Makeup Trends To Wear Now
Winter is coming. Winter makeup trends always get me a little excited. So excited that when November rolls around while people are thinking of Thanksgiving, I’m wondering when I could get over to my nearest beauty store to buy some makeup. Here are 5 Winter makeup trends that you should try ASAP.
Glittery Eyes
Glitter eyeshadow, loose glitter or even a metallic eyeshadow shade can fit the bill for this makeup trend. Go festive and try a red or gold glitter shade, or get frost and try an icy cool shade. Try Tarte Chrome Shadow pot for a pigmented easy glitter eyeshadow look.
Matte Brown Eyeshadow
Brown eyeshadow usually comes to mind when I want an everyday look that is subtle. I recently realized that brown eyeshadow can actually be a chic look. Pick a rich brown shade and apply it all over your crease, then blend it up and outwards to give it a slight smokey effect. Add some mascara and boom, you are now on trend! Easy right? When it comes to a single color eyeshadow that is guaranteed to give me good pigmentation I reach for MAC Cosmetics. Try MAC Cosmetics eyeshadow in “Satin Taupe”.

Winged Eyeliner
Winged eyeliner is one makeup trend I always love. Honestly, its one of my go-to looks when I want to do something different. I have worn winged eyeliner even when it wasn’t the current trend. These days winged eyeliner is easy to apply with applicators that make it like holding a fine tipped marker. My current pick for a winged eyeliner application is Fenty Beauty “FlyLiner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner”.

Berry Inspired Lips
Lipstick or lip gloss, from matte to satin finish. The possibilities are endless and there are a ton of great looking berry lip colors to pick from. In winter I get less sun on my skin, so I aim for a rich berry hue to get some more color to my look. My current obsession is by Dose Of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick in shade “Berry Me 2”.

Color Eyeliner
Eyeliner was already on this winter makeup trends list but it’s here again. Why you ask? A pop of color takes regular black eyeliner to a whole new level. It’s a daring yet creative take on the standard black or brown liner. Get a bold eye defining look by placing the eyeliner under your eye on the lower lash line. My long time under eyeliner is Marc Jacobs “High Liner” Gel Eye Crayon.
Winter makeup trends can be a ton of fun. Mix and match any of the above looks to make it your own. I plan on doing all these looks from now until spring. Be sure to follow me on social media so that you can see how it turns out.
