RevAir Review on Kinky 4b Hair, The Worlds First Reverse Air Dryer

The RevAir is the  World’s First and Only Reverse-Air Dryer. It is proven to dry hair 3x faster than a normal dryer. It uses half the wattage which exposes your hair to less heat. In addition it is a 2-in-1 device which can dry and straighten hair in one step. RevAir sent me a dryer to review and give my honest opinion, read on to see what I think.

RevAir Review - Smart Sagittarius
Designed to work on all hair types, the RevAir stands out.
 Why do you need one?

Blow drying hair takes time and multiple tools. In my relaxed hair days I’d use a round bristle brush. Now with my natural hair id have to use a paddle brush. Either way I was looking at over half an hour of blow drying time and some really sore arms afterwards. If you have kinky type 4 hair like me, the ability to get a blowout without using multiple tools is a plus.

 Does it work?

I’ll admit it, I was skeptical at first. It was hard to imagine that one tool could blow dry and smooth my hair 3x faster than traditional blow drying.

What’s good about the RevAir?

The good thing is that my hair dried quickly. After a few tries I figured out what size section could dry in the 90 second estimate the company provided. It also has a wide range of setting combinations which allow you to customize it to your hair type and needs. The cold setting actually works, which was a major surprise. That NEVER happens with a traditional blow dryer on my hair. The whole section dries at the same time and the hair is smooth afterwards.

The biggest pro: No simultaneous brush and blow dry action to stress your hair and fatigue your arms. Hair dries quicker and all at once so no need to keep passing over a section, causing damage.

 The Cons of a RevAir

The type 4 hair types may not see the see the same results as hair types 1-3. Due to the naturally tighter curls, type 4 hair may need a quick pass with a flat iron afterwards if you want a sleek look. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me though. I don’t wear my hair flat ironed often. Usually for styles outside of a twist out, “blown out” hair is all I’d need.

The noise levels of the RevAir is about the same or a bit higher than the normal blow dryer.

Blow dryers are known to be noisy. I’m used to the noise from older standard blow dryer. On my shelf is an older standard blow dryer model, so i’m used to the noise. The wand can get heavy if you’re holding it for a while, it’s a little heavier than my blow dryer.

The main con: The RevAir won’t easily fit on your beauty supply shelf, if you have a lack of storage you may have problems storing your RevAir. This dryer can be stored assembled or in its separate pieces, either way it  takes up space. In addition it may be pricey for many, this is a new product launch so over time the price may lower.

The RevAir can be found at the REVAIR site or on Amazon . It is priced at $399 and currently only shipping in the United States. This is a brand new product so it is pricey, if interested there is a payment plan option via PayPal. There are accessories available such a wand holder, RevAir branded clips and more to complete your experience.

I’d recommend the RevAir as a reliable styling tool that will save you time and stress on your hair. It’s easy to use at home, even a professional stylist could reap the same benefits from it as well. For more about my experience using the RevAir watch me use the RevAir and do a review on my YouTube. I also show my reverse air dryer unboxing and assembly. That video is up on my instagram IGTV. Keep checking back on my blog and social media to see how I continue to use the RevAir.
